Today's dry leaf pic: @bluewillowteaspot Red Dragon. This one has a weird origin. Okay, so get this: it's a black tea made from Taiwanese cultivars, but grown in the Mt. Ai Lao region of Yunnan province, China. . . I know, it's a lot to take in. And - well - so is the flavor. . . It has all the trappings of a high mountain Yunnan black; earth, stone fruit, etc. But it also possesses the sharpness and honey texture of the plant material used. Processing also seems to be more Taiwanese inspired than Yunnanese.
