Butyl Rubber gives back part of gains
Butyl Rubber moved lower over the latest reporting period, extending a mild correction from earlier monthly levels. Indian Butyl Rubber prices closed at Rs 339/kg on 30 June, down Rs 10/kg from Rs 349/kg a week earlier. The fortnight comparison also reflects pressure, with prices Rs 15/kg below the Rs 354/kg level seen two weeks ago. The decline has remained orderly, with daily movement staying measured.
The month view shows a wider easing, as Butyl Rubber was at Rs 360/kg around one month earlier. This places the current level Rs 21/kg lower on a monthly basis. Even so, the market remains comfortably above Rs 312/kg three months ago and Rs 202/kg six months earlier. It is also stronger than the Rs 258/kg level recorded during the same period last year. Indian Butyl Rubber prices have moved away from the recent high around Rs 375/kg, while support remains near Rs 198/kg. For procurement teams following Butyl Rubber prices in India, the latest data shows a short-term pullback against a stronger historical base.
