She couldn’t see. There was only now and it bugged Garnet. At least, it definitely bugged the side of Garnet that always knew three steps ahead of the now. It led to the other side to be a bit more prominent once the statue-still indecision wore off. For her to be a bit more careless. A tad more ‘vocal’.
“Toys! They replaced our gauntlets with toys! ‘I know, but that’s no reason to panic this much.’ But we can’t even see! What if somethin’ happens and we don’t have time to react anymore. ‘We’ll be fine.’“
It wasn’t very often she talked to ‘herself’ out loud. The fact that she was upset about her weakened self, lack of powers, and the fact they hadn’t given her the two gem’s rings didn’t help.
She was so caught up with keeping herself her that she didn’t even realize a red blur was running at her until she grunted from the impact to her legs. At the very least, it gave the fusion something else to concentrate on-- A Ruby? No... Not a Ruby.
“...Is that really you?”
