RUBUS LABS OPEN INTERNSHIP

The Inception

May 31st, 2012 saw the genesis of Rubus Labs, the first BlackBerry Innovation zone in the Asia-Pacific region. Located in the technological heart of present Kerala, i.e., in the Startup Village campus, this prestigious moment was inaugurated by Alec Saunders, the BB global Vice-President and India Managing Director, Sunil Dutt, in the presence of other senior officials of BlackBerry and Startup Village.

“We are excited to partner with Startup Village to set up our first Innovation Zone in India. Rubus Labs is designed to foster the spirit of innovation in the minds of young entrepreneurs and students in India, and we’re pleased to provide them with access to the latest BlackBerry products and technical know-how,” said Mr Saunders. 

To add to the excitement of the event, a BlackBerry Jam was organized for young children. Around 30 students between 8-15 years attended the event and experienced the "developer" feeling. The BlackBerry cake cut was truly a dessert for all. 

The birth of Rubus Labs was commemorated with the planting of "Rubus" sapling at the culmination of the event. 

Rubus Labs is an open innovation zone, for all those BB developers out there. And we are glad to be of help in any way possible, at the same time, guarantee a truly remarkable technological experience you might seldom find anywhere else in the world. :)
