16. Are they religious?
So, because you didn't specify which oc from thicker thieves i'll do all three!
Ruby
Ruby is very much not religious, she hasn't been in a church in a decade and would like to keep it that way. She was raised Catholic if being baptized and going to church at Easter and Christmas counts as being raised Catholic and her feelings about god can be summed up as: if he does exist he's a hell of an asshole.
Lewis
Lewis's relationship with religion is complicated. He was raised Church of Scotland and still very much believes in god and prays often, however he does not attend church and has a fair amount of religious trauma relating mostly to homophobia among other things. So, he prefers to interact with religion outside of institutions and at times has a lot of anger at Christianity which often gets mixed up with his feelings about god.
Zohra
Zohra is Jewish and practicing. For her, Judaism and her religion inform her worldview and her personal morals. Eg: though I'm sure she would be a kind person no matter what, the idea of Tikkun Olam is a large motivator in the choices she makes. Her religion is also very tied to her feelings about community and once she lives in Paris, attending Synagogue becomes partially about not only maintaining her connection with god but that with her family too.
