Chitose Homura/Ruby Phoenix
A young warrior from the Ruby Kingdom. She appears to be stoic and serious, but is actually quite childish. She values strength above all else, finding everything else useless… or at least she says she does.

This cover features Chitose Homura/Ruby Phoenix with her Ruby staff. She's the tritagonist of the series and her themes are rubies, phoenixes, and plague doctor's. Also fire. Chitose seems emo at first, but is really just team baby. Also she's short lol

A young warrior from the Ruby Kingdom. She pretends to be serious and stoic, but in reality, she’s very childish. She’s very strong and would be good in athletics.. if she knew the rules.
Hahaha, second comic cover of Crystal Illumination!!! This time it features the deuteragonist of CI, Aki Ayano/Shiny Quartz!! imma just take this opportunity to tell u abt her
Aki is lot like your typical magical girl heroine. Very clumsy, a crybaby, and she does very terribly in school. (so basically usagi-) but i mean, she's not totally her.. she's actually a little sporty despite her clumsiness. she's just a dummydumdum trying her best
she's been Shiny Quartz a year before the story begins. despite mana/crystal illumination being her best friend since like.. a long time, she still hasn't figured Aki out. which is mostly because she's blind. she's also crushing on Shiny Quartz mad hard, so it's a little awkward for aki to bring it up (especially since she's dating mana's brother)
anyway, that's all i got for now!! I will rant more abt CI at a later time

ig I'll talk abt my original magical girl comic "Crystal Illumination"
It's about a girl named Mana Kurumi who finds a magical (or possessed) necklace that's actually a gem sprite named Kris. It turns out that she's been chosen to become a legendary warrior named Crystal Illumination and fight against the Garnet King Bronze! Using the power of Kris, she can transform into Crystal Illumination!
Crystal Illumination has been floating around in my brain for a while and I'll admit.. the story is basically just Sailor Moon on diet coke/lh.
There's also our other main characters Aki, Chitose, and Etsuko/Cyan. Aki is Shiny Quartz (based on Rose Quartz), Chitose is Ruby Phoenix (Rubies are the theme), and Cyan is Emerald Luminous (Emeralds obviously)
They're all reincarnations of legendary warriors (Sailor Moon influence is big here)
The gem names represent the kingdom that each warrior basically originated from
The Quartz Republic (Shiny Quartz/Rose Quartz was her original name)
The Ruby Kingdom (Ruby Phoenix)
The Emerald/Garnet Kingdom (Emerald Kingdom)
The Sapphire Kingdom (supposed to be Crystal Illumination who was originally called Sapphire Illumination. The reason why the name was changed was because one of the incarnations lowkey kinda hated the sapphire kingdom so she was like 'f*ck them mate' and changed the name to remove the mention of sapphires)

my original mahous. They're part of a comic called 'Crystal Illumination' that I plan to do eventually.
The first one is the titular magical girl Crystal Illumination (Mana Kurumi in her Civilian form). Her motif is Crystals and sapphires vaguely (and I guess a phantom thief kinda? I don't know where the cape and mask came from). Her weapon of choice is a Crystal Ball.
The second one is Shiny Quartz (Aki Ayano in civilian). Her motif are hearts and Rose Quartz. I tried to make her look like your average magical girl, but look unique if that makes sense? She uses a bow and arrow.
The third one is Ruby Phoenix (Chitose Homura in Civilian form) Her motifs are rubies, Phoenixes, and plague doctors. Her weapon of choice is a staff.
