QuickChange!!
This is the very first artwork of him. Went a little wild on the design because it was a combination of two of my most iconic performances imo. I used to be part of a jazz dance group and, although not competitive, we did end up qualifying for Dance World Cup finals in 2024!! We came last place in our category, but that's to be expected.
Unfortunately, after our DWC performance, the dance group fell apart due to high school graduations and stuff, which was quite a gutpunch after such a huge achievement. At least we ended on a high note I suppose...
Since then I gained more appreciation for dancing and wanted to remember this moment, so I created QuickChange! (thanks to @eve13acatty for naming him)
QuickChange is an embodiment of my dancing energy and, as shown very well so far (I hope), he's a shapeshifter. Unlike me, however, he's a solo dancer and a competitive one at that (but the style is still jazz) and is a frequent attendant at DWC. He's also a bit of a celebrity in his world, being one of the most powerful shapeshifters on the planet.
The world he lives in has a lot to be said about (especially the power system), but I'll end this post on some basics about it for the time being:
This world is exactly like ours, with two major differences. Think of it as an alternate universe of our world. The differences in question being:
Their world revolves around arts and performance. It sort of takes the spot of religion in its popularity and practice.
Over half the world's population has powers.
More on that soon hopefully. This has been a quick history of this character's creation and the world he lives in. I'm open to answering questions if anyone is curious to know more! Not everything is fleshed out yet though but I'll figure it out
