March was such a light month this post almost didn’t happen... but it’s happening now, weeks late!
Phantoms by Michael Leon & Chrissie Anthony is a modern-day version of the story that is clearly drawing from a lot of different sources - the Phantom’s surname is given as Destler, but the real original Phantom is also in play from the 19th century, and the opera being performed is Macbeth as in a certain movie... so if you’re interested in time-traveling dueling Phantoms, by all maens!
Recruiting Love by Laura M. Greenwood is a novella in the same series as Greenwood’s earlier What Lies Beneath the Mask and You Know I Do, and while it looks like it might not be as directly related as those, fans of the series will probably want to see what these side characters are up to!
Phantom of the Opera House B&B by Ruby Raine is a short story in a series about a supernatural heroine and her domestic travails, set at a bed and breakfast with a resident Phantom. Beyond that, only reading it will tell.
And that’s all this time, let’s see if April can do better!
