Hi friends of tumblr, I need your help again! I'm a translator, and I sometimes end up correcting the mistakes of the transcriptor that worked before me. I have to translate the beginning of the song "Tried on a smile" by Ruby Velle, and the trancriptor did a really s***ty job (what the hell does "I decapitate my eyes" mean). I can't find the lyrics anywhere and I don't understand what she is saying. I someone knows the lyrics of the song, please help me! I have to finish it by Saturday!

Old school soul throwbacks Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics don’t throw many curveballs on their 2012 debut It’s About Time, but that’s not what you’re looking for when it comes to big-voiced, big-horned R&B music.  Velle’s voice is just weathered enough, able to rip, or let subtle crooning fill their sails with air.  Slow, sultry ballads like “It’s About Time” match up soundly with funky tracks “My Dear” and “Medicine Spoon”.  Even though Velle is clearly the star here, The Soulphonics really take off during short instrumental jams, either restrained or celebratory.  Even the production on It’s About Time harkens back to analog times, a good touch to buy all-in when it comes to old school soul.
