Boo~ I'm part of the anti-cheese squad... Anyway, If someone can get offended by a tag on a post about beans on toast, someone else could get offended by them acting like northerners are the only ones to ever have to live on it. They should reevaluate the situation :L

i definitely think people get offended really easily on this site like that sort of thing is joked about all the time irl. anon did have a point, if i were actually meaning to cause offence, but yeah i do think it was kind of an overreaction? then again people are offended by different things?? idk it’s so hard to even open your mouth on this site because somebody somewhere in the world will get offended and call you our for it

So from what that anon said, it makes it seem like beans on toast is a northern thing? I'm in the east anglia/south east and me and my work colleagues talked for ages about how we have beans on toast, then argues about putting cheese on it?? Why is beans on toast so controversial?

ahaha yeah i’m from east anglia too and i love having cheese on my beans and toast!! 

i don’t think that’s quite what the anon meant though, i think it’s because the person who commented mentioned how it’s typically a working class meal, or at least was developed as one, because the american OP seemed to believe it was hipster food and really weird??? And when I commented it may have been interpreted that i was saying only northerners would have this sort of working class lifestyle?? possibly??? even though that’s entirely untrue and not what i meant at all
