RUCY’S VANITY SKINCARE AND MAKE UP HAUL + REVIEW
I’m pretty sure you’ve already binge- watched some Korean dramas on your free time or most especially last vacation, but, have you ever wondered how ~ good ~ Korean skin is? Me myself wanted to achieve that kind of flawless and fresh look but I struggled on finding a Korean cosmetic brand that can satisfy my cravings for Korean skincare and makeup and at the same time, a brand that fits my budget and doesn’t hurt my wallet. But thank God for Instagram, I was able to discover Rucy’s Vanity. Rucy’s Vanity is the only Korean cosmetic brand that offers high quality cosmetics in a more reasonable price for Fiipinas. Their products come in variety of different skin care, body care and cosmetics.
Is it safe? Yes. All products are certified from the Korea Food and Drug Administration and Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) They sent me their best selling products for me to review them. So here we go! Disclaimer: Sponsored or not, I give my 100% honest opinions based on my experience. S K I N C A R E Rucy’s Vanity Whitening Serum To use: After toning, put a small amount of on the palm and rub gently on the face and neck. What it says: Formulated for all skin types, Perfect whitening formula, contains Vitamin E and collagen, whitening & moisturizing. It contains 60 ml. What I say: As for the packaging, it’s a small bottle with pump which is very minimal yet classy. I find this super convenient & travel friendly because it can fit every pouch you have. When it comes to the smell, it’s like a perfume- ish type of smell and it smells really good. The serum’s texture is watery I need to keep rubbing my fingers on my face in order to absorb it properly. I usually apply this whitening serum after I take a bath-- day and night; 1 pump is enough for the whole face. I also use this as a moisturizer/ make up base. Though I got small bumps on my cheeks the day after I first used it, I guess it’s normal because my face is still adjusting to the product itself. I noticed that my skin got one shade lighter the week after, and it somehow solved my only concern which is my uneven skin tone.
Pros: Packaging Pleasant smell Lightened my skin 1 shade lighter Cons: Liquidy texture Doesn’t absorb quickly to the face
M A K E U P Rucy’s Vanity Whitening Effect Mineral Two Way Cake SPF35 PA++ To use: Apply smoothly and evenly on your face and blend with puff. What it says: Has protection from UV rays with whitening effect. Combined with the goodness of foundation and powder in one. Product is 12 grams. What I say: I am so in love with this product! I replaced my L’Oréal True Match Micro Perfecting Powder Foundation with this one. I’m in the shade #21 Natural Beige but I believe they have 2 shades for this, namely #21 Natural Beige and #23 Dark Beige. As for the packaging, I like how the powder is compact because it has a mirror and contains a puff inside. What makes it hygienic is the divider between the puff and the powder itself which is a big thumbs up for me. It has light to medium coverage, so it’s perfect for an everyday basis. I usually use this at school with a powder brush because it’s feels lightweight and It doesn’t cake— it just gives my face a natural look. The only downside is it transfers easily, so if I’m gonna use this I have to be very careful because it may stain my clothes.
Pros: Hygienic packaging Light to medium coverage Matte finish Flawless, natural look Doesn’t look cakey Long lasting Cons: Tranfers easily
Rucy’s Vanity Liquid Eyeliner To use: Draw a line with a single quick stroke, from the inner to outer corner of the eye. What it says: Contains 7ml. Long lasting Water-proof eyeliner with deep black pigmentation that last whole day without smudging. What I say: I’m not a fan of this product simply because I suck at putting eyeliners. Haha. I tried it once and it’s quite pigmented, plus it is smudge proof. I kind of struggled with the tip because it’s too thin for me. It is also easy to remove with makeup remover, unlike any other liquid eyeliners that take ages in order to be fully removed. Overall, I recommend this eyeliner especially if you’re the type of girl who does winged eyeliner often. Pros: Long lasting Smudge proof Pigmented Simple packaging No unpleasant smell Cons: Thin tip Kind of liquidy
Rucy’s Vanity Lip and Cheek Red What it says: Contains green tea and collagen, moisturizing. What I say: Honestly, I was shookt on this product’s consistency since it is sticky. Most cheek and lip tints are liquidy and I find this very unusual.. but unique. It kind of reminds of the Ever Bilena’s cheek and lip tint. The pigmentation is not that excellent but okay. One squeeze of this product goes a long way. It turns into pink once you applied it on your lips and gives it a glossy finish. It isn’t long lasting, though, so I have to reapply every now and then. One thing I don’t like about this is that it’s hard to blend on the cheeks, you have to be quick or else you’ll look like you’ve been slapped by someone. Haha!
Pros: Packaging ( very convenient!) No unpleasant smell One squeeze goes a long way Better on the lips Cons: Sticky Doesn’t last for hours Hard to blend on the cheeks
Rucy’s Vanity Gleamy Lavish Waterproof Mascara To use: Apply brush to root of lashes and sweep from root to tip in zig motion. What I say: As for the packaging, it comes with a box then the mascara which I find simple. There are no ingredients indicated on the product itself so it looks pretty clean. I like how the wand of this mascara is long it can coat enough each lash making it appear lengthy and full of volume. It’s also buildable, so I can put as many coats as I want without it looking too clumpy and dry. It doesn’t have an unpleasant smell at all. Product contains 7 ml.
Pros: Doesn’t clump Long wand Sweatproof Cons: None
