ngl. I absolutely went looking for a scanslated chapter 144 of the manhwa after the most recent episode 😂😂 I don't think it exists honestly bc I couldn't find it (I know UTOT updates at the same time in the US as Korea rather than waiting for midnight here but I didn't realize the Korean vers wasn't ahead) but I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR SO LONG. I DO NOT KNOW THAT I CAN WAIT ANOTHER WEEK LMAO

FINAL THOUGHTS ON UNDER THE OAK TREE

whenever there was romance, my god, it was SO good, reading about these characters stumbling around their love for each other was just incredible, the dynamic between them worked so well and i think riftan especially grew exactly as he needed to as a character, he was just so amazing all the way through ♡

is it everything i wanted? no... 😅 honestly i feel like maxi could have been nicer to riftan, she was allowed to rage as much as she wanted and be unreasonable without apologizing and he just had to take it :/ but even tho her romantic development didn't go where i wanted it to, as a character she still grew magnificently, seeing her stutter fade was just so incredible. i also gotta say, I DO wish that this wasn't as much of a war story as it was XD the main couple spent so much time apart! and so much time arguing!!!!!!! the story was really truest to itself in book 1 i think, as much as book 2 really had the majority of much-needed character development.

either way i loved it, i will definitely be purchasing book 1 as a physical book, and i am so excited to see the rest of the story adapted to a manhwa!!!!!!!!!!! but SUJI KIM... PLS.... LET US SEE THE BABIES- WANT IT SO BAD 😭😭😭😭 WE NEED MOREEEEEE
