Move to Alaska? Start over? I hear it’s nice there at this time of year. I recently read some L.M.Montgomery and am considering Ontario as a generally appealing destination.

If only I could.

Also, thanks to LM Montgomery, Prince Edward Island has been on my travel destination list for almost 15 years now.

There, there. This week will soon be over.

I can only hope that this week doesn't have terrible consequences that spill into next week, because then I might be looking into ways to skip the month of May all together if that domino chain goes down.

No, but I keep having half run-ins with them.  Like we'll be in our cars and see each other, but we intentionally get out at different times.  Or it'll be bad weather and we'll just scurry around each other on the walkway.  Last weekend my father straight up tried to introduce me to one of them while they were chatting because he was grilling on the back porch and she was in the yard with her dog, but I was only out there to tell him I was leaving and she had to go pick up dog shit at the same moment so it didn't happen.

But this time, I was just getting back from the gym, so I was all sweaty and out of breath and still had my headphones in, and they were getting stuff from their car and the headlights were on and they had a guy with them.  And then we all wound up on the porch at the same time and didn't say anything as I struggled to unlock my door in the dark.

It was just a mess.

It would have been fine if I had just said hello, but the guy was talking, and one was shouting to the dog in their doorway, and I didn't realize they were coming up the stairs right behind me.

Dresses are my favourite. If nothing else, at least you don’t have to wonder what top to wear.

This is true.  It takes an entire step out of planning an outfit because you don't have to match things up.  I did have to factor in a cardigan, but I only have two and I intentionally got them to match with everything in my closet.  It was a very easy morning to get ready.

How bad is it? If it’s too short, that’s a bad thing, but just a poor cut can be fixed.

Oh, there are parts that can be fixed, like on the sides.  The problem is that it's a very inconsistent level because she cut it at an angle, and the middle section of the chunk she did is too short.  Like I don't even know what someone could do.  Because I have a cowlick, which I told this lady to work around (in that I just wanted the bangs to be long enough to push to the side to cover it), and that didn't happen.

So for the next several months, I will be clipping my hair back.

I’ve had that for a week or so now. Can’t fall asleep early enough, and then have to force myself to get up in the morning. I blame the weather.We have no snow this year.It’s appalling. I don’t know what you can blame but surely there’s something.

We had a bunch of snow, then it got warm and the rain today seems to have washed most of it away, but it's still miserable and it's going to get colder, so I'm all for blaming the weather.

And I think my system is just in shock from actually doing work again.
