I started this project 9 days ago, and finished it 4 days after that! Last time I made something serious out of pipe cleaners was Majora’s Mask itself around Halloween, and that was barely wearable due to being flat as all hell.

So around two weeks ago Something in me snapped and I wound up making the board for Inscryption on a brown paper bag

Then a week after that I dove into actually making cards (the Tan one is the one I painted myself and will be using.)

So as of right now I’m making the game in real life by a very long and tedious process of painting the cards mostly by hand

As of right now I have two squirrel cards fully completed, plus the back of a beast card. I have 4 fully blank cards to work with next.

(I wound up getting a lino cutter and a printing block to help me stamp the pattern. It helped somewhat)

Update on the Inscryption cards!

I finished the Stoat card a few days ago! I decided to keep the Act 1 stats, but used the Act 2/Kaycee’s Mod portrait. (I didn’t want it to be a worse bullfrog, but didn’t want it to have P03 Stoat staring at you.)

Yesterday, I went ahead and painted the Raven card! It took around 6 hours, and I only did the front at the time.

And last but not least, today’s progress! I finished the back of the Raven card, and went ahead and roughly stamped the three extra blank cards I had lying around!

Here’s the two finished cards + one of the not-yet-finished blank cards (to represent all three’s current state)

Context for stamping: I’m destroying remodeling an entire deck of playing cards, and I had 4 that I painted a flat color. One got turned into Raven, and the other three were left blank. I had gotten a Linocut and I’m using it to (lightly and badly) stamp the rough position of where the template will go.
