I just went over this with jennifer

BUT

let me write an essay about how I view my intelligence or lack thereof.

With alarming regularity, I've grown up being told that I am, as well as expected to be, intelligent. I'm not exactly sure how this expectation came about--perhaps that my brothers are athletic and visually appealing, whereas being fairly bright is all I have going for me!

And while I will admit that I pretentiously tend to view myself as a tier above the average Joe, I don't think I'm particularly smart.I test well, and generally fail to learn new things from my classes due to my tendencies to read ahead and generally seek out fact for no other reason than to satisfy my blatant curiosity. But that's just academics, which is where you/Jenny/Jennifer/Eunjee/Delaney/ensemble really shine.I consider myself different than you, collectively.

While I will reiterate that I don't believe myself to be very smart, I do think I'm relatively clever. Myrapier witdry sense of humour attests to this: being thebitchsomewhat stuck-up individual I am, I take weird, sadistic joy from making people think beyond what I've actually said. I gain respect for those who think I'm funny, not because of my ego (well, probably partially), but because they can do the more penetrative thought that so much as understanding me requires.

Furthermore, I think I have pretty heightened problem-solving skills: if I can't figure out how to do something the right way, you can bet that I'll be able to fudge it. I've always been like that, which is part of the reason I always commandeer group leadership when the job is to solve a puzzle of some sort. Now that I think about it, my egocentricity is the only aspect of my personality even more dominant than my shy/quiet tendencies in group situations.

So, conclusively, I don't consider myself the traditional 'smart,' or particularly bright at all. I just think I'm clever and inventive.

Also, I think I have this weird self-esteem problem where I hate myself and think I suck in general yet simultaneously think I'm better than most everyone else.
