Anyone else struggle with interacting with certain household items until they’ve established a rule system for using them?
For example, we have this tall glass that’s round, unlike the others, and has ‘iocane powder’ on it with a skull and crossbones. Obviously I love it, but I felt vaguely uncomfortable every time I thought about using it, and rarely actually used it, until it came to me that it should only be used for water because iocane powder can be used even in water and water is a ‘round’ beverage to begin with. Ever since then I use it every time I want a glass of water, zero discomfort.
