RULES

So the Hubris Hood is gonna work differently from a lot of my other neighbourhoods because I'm really using it to push the limits of Story Progression (and to stream gameplay for my partner).

Right now, I have these hoods in the mix:

Arkhelios Shady Shores Nekojima Widespot RFD Early Strangetown Sunset Valley Arbordale/University Premades Emerald Heights Land Grant University Quaddington University

I intend to add more Maxis hoods to the mix as Early Strangetown and Sunset Valley get closer to being just Regular Pleasantview and Regular Strangetown, But... we'll see how much the HUBRIS gets in the way of that. It might not be possible- adding BDC, for example, is probably going to be a bad idea. I should back this nonsense up early and often, huh? XD

I'm using ROS to pick which town I play in, which family I play in that town, and which random events happen during their rotation. I'm playing very short rotations- the Arkhelios-recommended two-three days- and letting story progression handle everyone while I'm not playing them.

A minor introduction first. I am Hailey! I’m 28 as of writing this, and I’ve been in the RPC since I was 18, albeit with some breaks in between. I’m American and work graveyard shifts from 10pm to 6am, though my job tends to have a lot of downtime so I’ll be somewhat active over night and early in the mornings.

WHO I WILL WRITE WITH

This blog is 18+, and 21+ preferred. The content I post will be mature at times and I just plain don’t feel comfortable engaging with minors in this kind of setting. 

I am not mutuals only! But I am still selective. You are welcome to message me and interact even if I don’t follow you.

FOLLOWING

Generally I give people a few days to a week before I unfollow, after that point I assume lack of interest. That said it can be difficult to tell if I’ve followed a blog before, so any unfollow/refollow shenanigans are entirely incidental. I don’t remember everyone, unfortunately.

Writing With Me

Short quick things can be fun! And I’ve had a few one liners blossom into wonderful dynamics! But I am generally multipara and once in a blue moon novella. (With plotted starters being the longest because I have a terminal need to scene set).

Sending in memes, responding to opens and plotting is the best way to interact with me! I like memes. They make for good prompts and are a good way of measuring interest too. You can always turn a meme into a thread.

LENGTH

Don’t ever feel the need to match lengths! Write only what feels right. So long as you give me something to work with, all is well! I’m never going to judge. And lets be honest, replies can and will fluctuate! It’s natural. Don’t feel you have to force yourself.

ALSO. If I write something and I got something wrong, or you need more to work with *please* let me know and I will happily edit. This is supposed to be a fun hobby, and I am more than willing to work to make that happen!

SHIPPING & SMUT

I love shipping. I adore exploring romantic relationships! Smut I have to be pretty comfortable with my partner to engage in, though. And thus far tends to happen on discord. 

GODMODDING

Maybe it’s because I run/play Dungeons and Dragons weekly, but if there’s something beyond minor in your reply (such as being handed something innocuous, or a scene change) just ask me about it and I’ll okay it. A little leeway is needed sometimes.

I DO NOT CONSIDER POWERFUL CHARACTER USING THOSE POWERS TO BE GODMODDING. Don’t hold back your muse on my account. I’m perfectly happy with consequences. It’s half the fun!

AU RULES

This au is 14+ only. You must be 14 years or older to apply. 

This au is application-based. This means you must fill out and submit an application, and have it approved, before making a blog. This is so we don’t have any misunderstandings or doubles of characters.

If you make a blog before your application is accepted, you will not be able to join even if you submit a proper application. This is not an open au for anyone to make blogs for.

We’re not saying that you can’t have APH PJO crossover blogs! We don’t own the concept, obviously, but to be part of this au specifically you will have to fill out an application and have it accepted. You can interact with people in this au even if your not in it, but you will not be associated with it.

Don’t try to control, change or rewrite another persons character. You can provide advice and constructive criticism, but keep in mind that not everyone will be open to suggestions.

Please keep in mind that most of the characters in this au are going to be teenagers. Keep things Edgy Disney (PG-13)

No shipping wars! As long as a ship isn’t harmful (pedophilia, incest, etc.), don’t start arguements/debates over ships.

That being said, relationships might be different then canon, and that’s okay! Not everyone will be willing to ship your characters together, even if it’s a popular ship. Ask, don’t assume.

Once your application is accepted and you’re making your blog, please make sure that your url is “ask-hetapj-country”. This makes things much nicer and organized.

Please state clearly, on your blog, which camp your character is at, who their godly parent is, and their human name.

If you wish to reserve a character, please come off of anon or leave a url so we know who’s reserving who.

Reservations last 14 days. If you send in a character reservation on 8-1-2020, your reservation will last until 8-15-2020.

MUSE RULES

You may only apply for one muse at the beginning. If you prove that you can handle two muses, and update regularly for at least a month.

You can only apply with one muse at a time.

Don’t try to bring a second muse in without applying for them/before the application is accepted. Just because you’re already in the au doesn’t mean your character will automatically be accepted.

If you try to apply for a character before the allotted time limit, or your inactive, your application will be denied.

You cannot join the au with a satyr. Satyrs are only allowed if they are your second character.

2ps, Nyos and OC’s are allowed!

Muses will be addressed by their human names, not their country names.

Don’t make your muse overpowered! Just because they’re a child of the Big Three doesn’t mean that they should be the most powerful.

If you wish to change a very large aspect of your character (such as age, camp, godly parent, etc.), you must ask a mod! This makes sure things don’t get messy.

There can only be 5 children of each of the Big Three (5 for Zeus/Jupiter, 5 for Poseidon/Neptune, 5 for Hades/Pluto)

Every other cabin/cohort caps at 15. This also applies to the hunters of Artemis.

The age range for campers is 13-20. They could have been at camp since they were 9, but for the purpose of the au, make them teenagers.

For veterans the minimum age is 18, because they would have had to serve 15 years, then retired to New Rome.

For satyrs, minimum age is also 18, but because their years are our half years Just remember that satyr-age 18 is human-age 9.

For Roman characters, they must have a tattoo with their godly parent’s symbol, SPQR, and the years served. If they don’t have a tattoo yet, they have to be wearing the tablets with their information on it. (Keep in mind, Veterans have served at least 15 years, and thus will have at least 15 lines)

For Greek characters, they must have the bead necklace with how many summers they have survived camp.
