Help me please I love snails I have no idea what the species of this little guy is!!! I'm in Portugal if that helps
All snails with this shell configuration have a black body
This was one of the biggest ones I've found, they don't seem to get bigger than this (you know finger segments or knuckles? Sorry I'm not a native English speaker, but they're like, two segments of an index)
The shell is a cone with a flat top, like it's been broken off, but they're just Built Like That???
They're probably taxonomic family Clausiliidae but I can't pinpoint them right... I saw somewhere you said you focus on East coast snails so I assume you're American, but I dunno, you might be able to help me. I stay up at night wondering why I can't fucking find a snail picture that matches these little guys!!!
Gasp… what precious little guys! You’re right, I’m from America, but I’m more than happy to take a look at snails from across the world. After a bit of digging, I think I’ve got an answer for you…

These guys are apparently pretty widespread throughout the Mediterranean, and have been introduced to other areas as well. Never seen one in-person myself, but the blunt shell end is really funky!
