I would die for @rumplteazer and their Cats art, so I decided to commission them for art of my OC, part-time Protector and reluctant, but soft-hearted Team Dad Ulysses! He turned out absolutely gorgeous, and I just had to share him with everyone else!

Ok so I've definitely always advocated for Tugger and Teazer best friend dynamic kinda just cause but I just noticed something:

During the Jellicle Ball, the bit where Tugger's at the front of the stage and Jemima is dancing next to him (and it's adorable and I love them)? Teazer is on his other side. I never really processed that before but

One it's incredibly funny Tugger is like the tallest person there and Teazer and Jam are probably the two tiniest.

Two going on the Tugger and Jemima assumptions (which are correct), we can infer that Tugger and Teazer dance together a lot. But he obviously didn't teach her, they're in the same age group (a few times we see Jerrie dancing when Tugger and Alonzo are leading). Which means it's probably just for the hell of it they are best friends thank you for coming to my ted talk

(Also they give me a similar chaotic vibe, which is hard to explain since I feel like Tugger and Jerrie don't vibe in the same way? But Teazer and Jerrie probably have separate friend groups (sometimes) anyway so I don't feel the need to justify myself too much)

#I think Tugger's friends are Mostly girls tbh just kinda by coincidence #like obviously he has Misto and Munk and maybe kind of Plato and Jerrie sometimes but #obviously he has Bomba and with Bomba comes Demeter #and then Teazer #and like even though at the time of the show the kittens are kinda young I firmly believe that as they get older they kinda integrate into #that social.... blob? I feel like it's not a circle byt you know what I mean #they hang around Tugger all the time anyway eventually they just start actually contributing to conversations #I think Electra is the best example of this #she 'gets over' Tugger first and just starts talking to him like a Normal Person #and the rest of her friends follow soon after #maybe a bit with the exception of Jemima since that's just never gonna be the same #Tugger's always gonna be her uncle first and foremost #anyway #cats the musical #the rum tum tugger #rumplteazer #uncle tugger real #only briefly featured in this post but it is true

I will start my series of posts for my assorted Cats items by first giving some praise to the wonderfully talented artists in the fandom, and some of the Cats pieces they sell.

There is no better place to start off than with my favourite artist in the entire fandom, @rumplteazer! When Rhia created acrylic pins with her art, I immediately bought all five. I love the Victoria pin, and the four others are of course amazing as well! The Rumple! The Demeter and Bomba!

She even wrote a nice thank you note, WITH A DRAWING OF THE WHITE CAT HERSELF! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I own an original art piece!

Rhia, you are the best, and your art is amazing and incorporates details I love seeing from the character designs throughout the years. I live for your Victeazer art. I always look forward to the Caturday streams, as it allows me to see different productions I would never get the chance to normally. Your three favourite Cats characters are the same as mine, and I can always depend on you for some Bonnie Simmons as Jellylorum content. I want to be the third member of your Bonnie Simmons fanclub.

I thiiiink that only comes from Jacob Brent's interpretation of it which is interesting but I'm not sure if it's canon bc I've seen her referred to as old from canon sources before. It's probably a case of things differing between productions though

Ooooooh this could be true too. I haven’t seen Jacob’s commentary, so idk. I know that Rosemary Ford played Grizabella too and that in recent productions she’s definitely younger. But, honestly, I’m not an expert or anything akjdhakhfk
