Summary: Monika and reader had a huge fight and Monika realizes everything once she saw her getting away from her.
"What was that supposed to mean?!" I look at her, face full of confusion as if she had said the most ridiculous thing. Just then I realized what she said.
"Just a moment with you was all I asked..." closing my eyes as I feel the tears slowly breaming my eyes. Hands and lips trembling from how overwhelming this is. I always understand that she's busy with things.
But why is she always busy when it comes to me?
I always make time for her even though we are both in the same demanding industry. But that doesn't mean that I can't make time for her. If I can do it for her.
Why can't she do the same for me?
When I decided to look at Monika. Despite her still dress professionally and her makeup still intact. Her eyes shows how tired she is. I realized how tired we both are.
Why can't we just be each other's rest like we used to?
Why is she pushing me away?
"I'm tired." She finally said, and that completely broke me. Not just because she admitted it. But because of how she said it. Her voice fill with coldness.
"So am I..." I tried to reach her, but she pulled away. At the same time, the tears started flowing down my face.
"You know what? You're tired and I'm exhausted. S-so let's take a break." Those words left my lips. I didn't know that my own words would hurt me the most. I walked away from her, because I'm sure that if I look at her one more time.
I would forget my own words and just embrace her even if it hurts me. But what I did was the best for me. I'm tired of being the only one who's putting efforts into making this relationship work.
Just then Monika realizes what has happened. She was too weak to even chase me when I left a few minutes ago. Monika was in pain when she listens to your words. But when she realized that you were gone.
As if on autopilot. She runs to find me.
Two pained souls
Tears streaming down her face as she runs to find me. She realized big time how fucked up she was. When she realized my car was nowhere to be found in our garage.
Monika completely broke down. Crying like a toddler that has been lost. After she calmed down, she tried to think about the place you can possibly go to.
And she knows exactly where.
She drove calmly even though the tears continue flowing. She managed to drive. When she arrived, the wind greeted her as well as the waves hitting the shore. She runs to where you could possibly are. While still weeping, she doesn't care if she's running out of breath. She just wants to find you.
When she saw your figure. Her heart broke at the painful sound of my sobs.
Just then I feel arms around my waist. That's when I cry loudly. When I feel her familiar embrace.
My Monika
"I'm sorry" she chokes on her words because of how much she's crying. She keeps mumbling apologies while she's comforting me with her words and hugs.
When we both calmed down, she place a soft and passionate kiss on my lips.I leaned closer to her. She lead me to our car. And drove home.
When we reached home, she carried me to our bed. And we both laid together. Wrap in each other's embrace and comfort. She place a soft kiss on my forehead before she whispered lovingly.
"Just rest on me my love."
