I’m currently listening to a song called Deja Vu. Seems fitting since the past year has been exactly that. And now I’m back at square one. Is there a punchline for someone who is so consistently circular that they begin to believe the chaos is a foundation and not a problem? Because I am becoming so used to silent chaos; it has become an unwanted lover of my life. I don’t like being out of control and yet that is all I am. Might I put a face to the chaos? Should I name you?

Beauty is a scary thing. Beauty transfixes, it pauses, beauty captures your heart and never lets go; beauty is my weakness, beauty is my chaos. But it’s safe to say that beauty knows what it has done, it can see the pain lurking behind the kaleidoscope in my eyes, it knows that if it were to rip my heart open, it could see itself inside. The funny thing is, is that I like it. I like the pain, the challenge, I like the restless nights, the tears, I like the anger and sadness and chaos-- I like when beauty stares at me and tightens it’s hold. I hate it, I love it. I can’t take it, I want more. Leave me alone, but never leave. Forget me, but always remember.
