Unhinged sneak peek time!

I’ve been doing a heck of a lot of plot planning this weekend and uhhhh… if you’re curious about where the fic is going, I will tell you this:

It doesn’t stop at Ada. The number of badass ladies involved in this is approaching double digits.

Honestly, I don’t believe this widespread fanon that Leon S. Kennedy is chronically lonely and has no friends.

This guy’s a chatterbox. He talks to everyone, including monsters (and himself). He clicks with people instantly. He hangs out in bars all the time, for goodness’ sake - those aren’t private or quiet places! Yeah he drinks, but he doesn’t drink alone!

He has hobbies. He’s a bike guy. He does shooting competitions (some of the reload animations in RE4R/RE9 are competition shooter tricks). He seems at least somewhat familiar with what’s trending, if his ever-evolving wardrobe is any indication. He listens to music (I mean, did you hear what he was blasting in that Porsche?) And he works out… a lot.

Leon would absolutely have friends outside of work. He’d have drinking buddies. He’d have gym buddies. He’d have buddies at his local bike shop. He’d have buddies at the shooting range. He’d have buddies to invite over to watch football.

(And he DOES have at least one person who canonically regards him as a friend. Did y’all forget about Ark Thompson? Lmao)

Now, is Leon close enough with any of these buddies to lean on them when he’s in a dark place? Oh, absolutely not. These are just people he does activities with, not people he can really talk to about what’s going on in his life. But the bottom line is that the man wouldn’t just spend all his time away from work holed up in his apartment alone. He’d have a social life outside of the people he interacts with in canon.

Summary:

It's official: Leon S. Kennedy is canonically married.

I had a thought that was originally just a funny idea: what if Leon quickly got back together with the girl who dumped him right before RE2, and he's been quietly married this entire time with practically no one knowing about it? But the more I thought about it, the more it became both a sweet and angsty lifelong love story in my head... which resulted in this fic, the first in a series.

This part takes place directly after RE2, when Leon finally receives the medical attention he desperately needed, like, yesterday. WHUMP AND H/C AHEAD!

CWs: hospital settings, graphic description of medical procedures, graphic description of injuries, full body/strip search (for security purposes)

I'm back!

I took a break from Tumblr but I have returned! I'll be replying to asks, updating my fic library, and well as the LU Resources blog soon. I'm hyperfixating a bit on Resident Evil 9 at the moment so I'll probably have a barrage of posts about that coming up, but they will be tagged appropriately in case you followed me for only one fandom!

Do you think the LU Links have memories of the non-Zelda games they’ve been in? Like is Time aware that he was in Soulcalibur and does he remember it, like a weird fever dream or something? Does he get random flashbacks of Mario Kart?

I’m sorry, but when did people start feeling like they need to be the damn tag police on this website? “Don’t tag as X” “Stop tagging as Y” why does it fucking matter? Nobody owns a tag. News flash, tags aren’t just for following! You know what one of the main functionality of tags is? So people can organize their blogs. I’ve been on this god forsaken site for 15 years. Back in the day, everyone had tag archive pages where you could browse their blog for curated content. Newer users don’t really do this anymore but there are plenty of old-timers that still do. And here’s the thing: everyone has their own tag system. Maybe they want something grouped a certain way on THEIR OWN BLOG. Like, why do you feel the need to go running after people whining “nooooooo you can’t put this in that box!” What’s the worst that could happen? Your content reaches a wider audience? You help educate someone outside of your immediate circle? Grow up

If I wrote a lil fic about Rift (Echoes of Wisdom Link) joining the Chain and him struggling to feel like he truly belongs with the other heroes, would people actually be interested in reading something like that? Like I know Jojo said that he won’t be joining the cast canonically, but I just thought it’d be a fun AU to explore, ya know?
