there's something a little melancholy about doing my slow physiotherapist-approved 2 km run/walks specifically on sundays (typical day for long runs) when at my peak i'd do 8 km non-stop runs, but i AM super thankful that i can even do 2 km without any pain again (today was my first run so far in rehab without ANY kind of knee discomfort whatsoever, wooo!). also i love getting passed by all the other runners on their sunday long runs. like hi guys i'm becoming one of you again

#a decade ago i used to feel sooooo self-conscious out on runs but now i'm like every runner no matter their mileage or speed is a compatriot #there's something about encountering them out in the wild i think. i don't think tennis players feel this way about other tennis players #running tag

And this is a wrap, ladies and gentlemen and gentlepeople. I declare the couch to five k experience complete and a success. Now on to 10 k, but I think I will do a wrap up of my experience after a shower and stretching.

ran the 5k!!! i gave it my all (and am very tired) but i hit my goal :-) i wanted to get under 30 minutes but according to my phone i did it in 27 minutes yaaaay
