I started running again and now I’m documenting it on Snapchat.

hc. in the wake of vulcan , spock would run. 

he would take to the ship’s gym in the twilight hour that bleeds between night and day - the turnover before gamma shift. and the period with the least likely amount of crewmen for minimal disturbance. there , he would pick the treadmill in the farthest left corner to run. track , beat down from black to gray. when he runs , he wears many layers. clothes upon clothes over his arms and legs ; to mimic the warmth of the vulcan sun. and when he runs , he wears weights on his feet , around his ankles ; to feel like the gravity of his home planet , gone. with all of it , spock would run. he would run until his breath grew heavy. run as if he could perspire from beneath his traditional vulcan cut. he would run until he’s run so fast and so hard that he’s reached that moment of clarity through exertion. when his mind would clear and his body would deliver him the chemicals needed to feel not his muscles overworked , but nothing at all. he would run until the moment before losing his last shred of control. before letting go.
