Literally dropping onto the island tail, she'd begun exploring the dense forest. Yet something felt... odd the moment upon landing. Something of the earth beneath her feet seemed to bolster a resistance towards her will. Not impossible, but unusual. It demanded further investigation, but first... some of these fruits had smelled absolutely divine.

Raising her spear up, she struck one of the ripened papaya and brought it low into her hand. A delightful treat as she continued on her way as she happily munched on the sweetened fruit.

“Oh, perfect! I was gettin’ sooooo BORED.”

Before he could even finish ‘me’, Eve had already snapped her fingers. All of the pent up magic erupted in a dreamy haze speckled with moons and stars — and now, Black Sapphire was a lavender colored sheep.

“Ooooo, look at yooooou ~ ! Lil’ bah bahs ~ ! BlAAAAHck Sapphire ~ !”

Emphasis on the ‘baa’ in ‘black’.

"I don't like hearing you talk about yourself like that," Mold Dough frowned, one-eyed gaze focused on Licorice Cookie.

A look of surprise crossed the cookie's face as he heard those words. Usually, few cared if he put himself down, if he bashed himself and damned himself for his failures. He was silent for a moment, as if processing whether or not that just occurred and if it was real or if he'd finally gone crazy.

"What do you want me to do, compliment myself for screwing up?" Perhaps that wasn't the BEST response. "I-I mean, well....no one usually cares when I talk like that to myself...Why do you?"

Pure Vanilla Cookie was practising his magic, entering the Other Realm and leaving it in his room, as he gained access to it ever since he awakened to the new power, when he made the tiniest of miscalculations and found himself in an area he didn’t recognize.

Although from what he could make out; he was in a field and he could see a nearby village which the healer figured was the best place to head to find out where he ended up.

Which didn’t take him long to reach the place, as he watched various cookies walking pass, until he stopped in the town centre where he saw cookies leaving, however Pure Vanilla soon froze up when he spotted a familiar figure in the center… 

However, he also noticed that the other was different from his usual appearance…

“What the….” He mumbled quietly to himself… Just… What was going on..?

Fount of Knowledge!” The young man slowed his steps… something felt… off about the Spire today. He fiddled with his curly ponytail as he realized that he didn’t recognize this layout. And where were all the other disciples?

floating  behind  him,  technically  —  but  he  also  isn't.  (  in  a  manner  of  speaking.  )  naturally  the  beast  knows  every  little  thing  that  goes  on  within  his  spire;  it  is  a  part  of  him,  after  all.  so  when  a  curious  cookie  goes  a-scuttling  around  its  grand  halls,  calling  out  the  name  of  a  certain  virtue  from  an  era  long  forgotten,  shadow  milk  takes  notice.  he's  a  bit  surprised  to  see  the  source  of  the  noise,  however  —  black  sapphire?  oh,  but  not  his  devilishly  charming  right  hand  cookie  as  he  knows  him.  no,  no,  no,  THIS  black  sapphire  is  a  little  greener  than  he  remembers.  well,  as  far  as  plot  twists  go,  it's  not  so  twisty-turny  as  to  be  completely  unrealistic  —  time  always  has  a  way  of  getting  a  bit  fast  and  loose  around  the  spire.  it  plays  by  its  own  rules,  lets  things  slip  through  the  cracks.  really,  what  extension  of  shadow  milk  wouldn't  purposefully  stir  up  trouble  for  its  own  amusement?  he  may  as  well  see  where  this  storyline  takes  him.

❝  you  rang?  ❞  the  beast  suddenly  calls  out.  he's  not  exactly  TRYING  to  startle  him  —  won't  complain  if  he  does,  though!  this  is  hilarious.  ❝  pay  no  mind  to  the  splendiferous  change  in  attire,  you  dutiful  little student  you.  ❞   shadow  milk  continues,  punctuating  the  words  with  a  wink.  the  myriad  of  eyes  dotting  his  hair  follow  suit,  though  in  their  case  it  appears  more  like  a  bout  of  synchronized  blinking.  a  bit hypnotic  to  look  at,  really.  ❝  seems  like  SOMEONE'S  gone  and  skipped  ahead  a  few  scenes  —  happens  to  the  best  of  us.  oh,  but  look  at  YOU!  ❞  the  beast  quickly  flits  around  him  in  a  circle.

It didn't matter the cookie, Capsaicin was always ready to charge in to help without a second thought. So spotting the occupied host ahead drop some papers, he went into a full sprint to pick them up and return them. They could have been important after all, and he knew all too well how some professors could get with a missing assignment.

"Hey! Don't know your name, but you dropped these!" he announced, trying to catch back up.

A black envelope has arrived, written on it in golden ink is “Clotted Cream Cookie”.

When opened it reveals a card, a picture of Black Sapphire Cookie in a black Christmas sweater with purple, gold and white snowflakes on it, wearing a black Santa hat with white fur trim, standing and smiling under a streetlamp in the snow at night, the moon and stars visible in the sky.

When the card is opened it begins to play a recording of Black Sapphire Cookie singing a festive tune and inside is a simple:

“Happy holidays,

Black Sapphire Cookie”

He knows he sits there too long, flipping the card open and closed again and again, a steady warmth building in his chest every time the tune repeats.

When Clotted Cream finally convinces himself to set it down, he slumps forward over his desk, forehead leaning against clasped hands as he chuckles dryly. “… This is pathetic.”

Nevertheless, one card calls for another, and it seems a trip to the stationary shop has just become the day’s priority.

… Right after he puts the card somewhere for safe keeping.
