Elodie was out of her comfort zone while delivering the mail to the appropriate receiver. But, she didn’t want important mail going missing. Plus, it was for her to try her best to mingle, considering she was a quiet person. At least that’s what her therapist told her to do. She opened her mouth to say something when the other came into view, but just moved into her pocket for the envelope. Handing it out to the stranger, Elodie brushed her hair behind her ear with her free hand. “This isn’t for me,” she said softly. “This... mail is um... addressed to this apartment, not mine. H---here.”
She didn’t really talk to other people, let alone others in her building. But the building manager was a nice enough that she had no problem with her. However, this issue shouldn’t have been happening. Yet, here Elodie was. “Sorry.” Her gut told her to apologize, because they were probably much better doing something else than answering a door to someone who barely spoke to begin with anyways.
