Too busy savoring the feeling of his fingers tangled in the back of a jacket-that-was-not-a-jacket as Alex-not-Alex shifted to press its face into his throat. Too busy soaking in the heat as the virus tucks itself closer and covers him further in its warmth. Too busy sleepily feeling, and watching, as too-warm false fabric shifts like skin, and appendages sprout from black ‘leather’ and begin to envelope him further.
In a way, Wrench feels like he’s being sized up to be consumed, and yet, no panic comes. Instead, poorly thought out words spoken. Murmured and slurred into the top of the other being’s head as he rubs his nose against it with real, and possibly misplaced, affection. “...Love you.”
