Day 2
So I had to work this morning at 4am...yeah, know right...But this morning I decided to be productive today and workout instead of take a nap when I got home at 8am. So I picked up coffee and donuts for the hubby (and myself of course) for motivation! Went on my back porch and had the best yoga morning ever! I got ready for my run and took my lil chow chow buddy with me.
I am trying to make my runs less and less about competition (which is very difficult since I like to be the best at things...smh) and more about focussing on my body and running for me. Running is about self and if running is hurting your self, then you shouldn’t do it. That’s why I had to take a break...I realize I have a problem with keeping things in moderation as I tend to go overboard with everything I do til I’m completely spent.
My husband has been my best encourager and helps keep me balanced. He’s so relaxed all the time and I’m always in a panic about something. So, I’m trying to learn from him and incorporate relaxation into every part of my life...The reality that I could be sending myself to an early grave from all the worrying and stress I put myself through made me step back and assess myself.
So here’s to less worry, more freedom to rest in everything (you get more done with more quality and enjoyment in a relaxed state anyway). Take time for self, run for self...
