Yes, he’s the total opposite of everything that’s good. Personally, in UBW, when he appeared, I realized I’ve missed him (since I prefer him to Medea for villain/last boss/evil mastermind and I thought he was going to take over her) which was weird, since in Fate I didn’t see much of him to like him or not - besides him making children suffer without reason. But suddenly Heaven’s Feel came and even though I still wouldn’t want to hang out with him or anything (because, well..I’d probably be manipulated somehow) I started to understand him. I really liked how Shirou acknowledged him in the end. It was my feelings exactly. In short it was the feeling of ‘I want to stop you. I still think you’re an evil bastard. But I understand and respect the way you live your life.’
