Today is Nov 28th in Korea and I am over the moon.  

Since the age of 15, this person has worked on little sleep working through daily schedules of commercials, movies, MCing, voice overs, learning 3 other languages in addition to his own, music videos, martial arts training, concert tours, variety shows with and without his idol group, music show stages, recording albums, photoshoots, attending other celebrity events, managing his own finances, baseball charity events, soccer charity events, social media hell, being a resident DJ at one of the top 6 clubs in Seoul, then going solo with his career. Not to mention attending his own family’s events, church, and personal commitments during the whole time. Twenty-two or one hundred and twenty-two, this man has truly lived hard enough to know what he wants and what he doesn’t want.

Despite his baby-face, this young man is not a child, kid, or baby. This man has lived and done more in his years than most have their whole lives. So when he left his idol group in 2013, NH Media did not fight his wishes and bitter-sweetly, a handful of fans couldn’t either. Freshly having become legal age, he’s paid his dues and loves his freedom. He’s always been the melancholy, cool headed and dissociated to drama type person, so it’s no secret (ie twitter posts) his wish has been for a more grounded lifestyle and he wants the same for his ‘since high school known’ bride. 

So congratulations to one of the hardest working faces in Korea! You deserve so much happiness and I could not be more proud of you. Whether you like it or not, you’ve become a strong influence to your fans in sacrifice of youth, perseverance through dreams, tenacity to step into any genre your mind sets to, and mostly the patience to keep manners even when pushed to the limits; speaking blunt but politely as to not offend even when you have every right to call out those who’ve overstepped.

Enjoy the fruits of your labors to the greatest extent and your fan’s wedding present to you will be to give as much privacy and respect as you’ve asked for. Just please keep your promise to dabble in that whim of returning to the acting world someday. You will have a very strong fan base waiting to welcome you! Until then we’ll keep supporting Invincible Baseball Team and all your other pursuits!  Shin Dongho, Thank you for being our eternal maknae~
