You know, in spite of everything (literally everything), I haven’t ever seen Ukrainians calling to murder Russians on the streets, hunt them down and beat them, monitor their homes harm their children smash their businesses or target their schools. I’ve also never ever read about Ukraine’s forces kidnapping Russian children, erasing Russian culture and language, massacring Russian villages, bombing russian homes harassing ukranian russcist shills dissidents dumping Russian corpses into mass graves raping Russians or recruiting third party agents to carry out terrorist attacks. A mystery.

I dont think the world really cares about “ethics in competitions” vis a vis, say, countries at war appearing in the olympics or Eurovision or whatever—but the outrage sure is selective. Despite the ioc’s official ban, Russian athletes can still compete, just under different flags (but everyone knows the Kremlin still flaunts any medals. They still cheat, too); the ioc banning heraskevych, in my opinion, seems nothing more like them bending over backwards to accommodate the Russians.
