ESSAY HELP! RUSSIAN LINKED ACTIVITY.
I need to write an essay on controlling the masses via social media. And I decided to use my own personal experience ofcourse it’s going to be really subjective. So I was wondering if anyone here felt that their political opinions were changed not necessarily by the russian blogs but just by tumblr. At first I thought I wasn’t. Because I am not involved in the US elections nor in the Brexit vote. But then I was thinking of my opinion on certain candidates and I must admit without tumblr I would have known nothing of some of the candidates. So it must have had some influence right? Please send me a PM :D!
Ukrainian security services on Monday released video footage purporting to show Russian servicemen who were captured by Ukrainian government forces while fighting alongside pro-Moscow rebels in Ukraine. The footage, which is likely to fuel allegations from Kiev and its Western allies of Russian involvement in the war, appeared on the day the Russian and Ukrainian leaders are to meet for talks in the Belarussian capital to try to end the conflict. Russia denies giving military help to the separatist rebellion in eastern Ukraine. Ukraine's state security service said on Monday it had detained 10 Russian paratroopers who had crossed into Ukrainian territory from Russia in a column of several dozen armed infantry vehicles. By Sabina Zawadzki and Gabriela Baczynska DONETSK Ukraine (Reuters) - Pro-Russian separatists shot down a Ukrainian army helicopter on Thursday, killing 14 soldiers including a general, as government forces pressed ahead with an offensive to crush rebellions in the east swiftly following the election of a new president. After weeks of accusations from Kiev of Russian involvement in the uprising, a rebel leader in the eastern city of Donetsk acknowledged that some of his fighters who died in the government offensive had been "volunteers" from Russia, saying their bodies were being returned across the border. In Kiev, outgoing acting president Oleksander Turchinov said the helicopter, which had been carrying supplies in eastern Ukraine, had been brought down by anti-aircraft fire from near the town of Slaviansk, which has been under the control of separatists since early April.
