“Pavlovski Guards in 1813 or 1814, wearing the new white ‘Guards’ lace. Although the caps are shown as being tall, Grenadier-style caps (perhaps exaggerated), these appear to be Fusilier caps with brass finials rather than pompoms.”
Images of the Pavlovski guard in the Russian Army of the time. I’m finally done exams, all seven of them finished. I get some respite for a little bit before my full-time internship starts.

The Boxer Rebellion
The year was Nineteen-Hundred 'Tis worth remembering The men who lived through Fifty-five days at Peking
This is a cross-over episode, a unique partnership of a handful of nations that would fight a world war against each other in less than two decades. There is also a really nice Jazz remix of the 55 days at Peking song I really enjoyed.
The pictures somehow removed the descriptions of the soldiers, if any of you want to know the unit just ask and I can look them up in the source.

Albert Edelfelt (Finnish, 1854 - 1905)
Not too often you see Finnish uniforms from this period, they were in the service of the Imperial Russia Army, but still.
