     The school had kindly asked Jubilee to watch the playoffs off campus. She couldn’t help that she got heated during playoffs. Really, really, heated. So she was stuck at a bar she haunted sometimes a few blocks away, watching the game on her phone and cursing every time things didn’t go her way. The rivals scored again and she slammed her drink down, accidentally spilling some on the man beside her.  ❝ Fucking Golden Knights! Oh, oh shit, I am so sorry! ❞

So she had invited him back for coffee, and that was wildly out of type for Loki, even if the serving of coffee wasn't. In accordance with her very distantly removed progeny, coffee meant laying out the table with gratuitous amounts of pastries and cakes, too, and while it was certainly more food than she could eat, if his height and breadth were anything to judge by, Ras could probably get most of what she couldn't.

She didn't mind that. He'd liked her cooking at the wedding well enough, and she'd liked him well enough, and the subtle sense of shared pride and something else utterly, basely parental had made Loki think she should get to know this enigmatic stranger a little bit better. Maybe they could combine forces for the greater good.
