Dua and Reflection
O Allah, bestow upon us beautiful patience through our days and nights. — General dua. And remind, for reminders benefit the believers. May this short reminder bring calm, gratitude, and a renewed intention for the day.
The Ar Rustaq Fort was originally called Qalat Al Kisra after the Persian 🇮🇷 who controlled the land between #rustaq and Ar #rustaq in the 7th century. It has been reconstructed a number of times, over the passing years. (à Rustaq Fort) https://www.instagram.com/kevin.log/p/CX39dfztOHc/?utm_medium=tumblr
During the days of the Sasanian Empire, Al-Rustaq had a #persian 🇮🇷 marzban (military governor), whom Sasanians in the area would report to. Dibba and Tuwwam, which Oman 🇴🇲 today shares with the UAE 🇦🇪 , were taxed by Al-Julanda, who were clients of the Sasanians. There are also historical mosques in Rustaq, including the Al-Bayada Mosque, the Basra Mosque and the Qasra Mosque. #rustaq #heritage (à Rustaq, Sultanate of Oman) https://www.instagram.com/p/CX35CxOt_Sg/?utm_medium=tumblr
The Al Hazm Castle is an outstanding example of Omani Islamic architecture and was built in 1711 AD. The fort's roof is built on columns, and contains no wooden supports. Its walls can withstand great impact, at no less than 3 m (9.8 ft) thick at any point. #castle #fort #rustaq (à Rustaq Fort) https://www.instagram.com/kevin.log/p/CX34eCoNAdn/?utm_medium=tumblr
