Digimon Hunters Episode 2

Ousuke Atsuko walked into a room full of scientists that were analyzing the once Saberdramon in its hospital-like bed. Ousuke kneeled down next to the Biyomon and said, “My friend, do you remember anything from when you were in your more monstrous state?”
“Nhee, sorry boss, but I don’t, say. All I remember is being really mad at something.” The Biyomon said.
Ousuke rubbed his temple, this was not a coincidence. Maybe something to do with the Lost Rangers, no they wouldn’t concoct something like this. They weren’t allies, but they weren’t evil either. Ousuke swore on his honor as one of the last 12 founders of the RK Foundation, he would find and stop whoever was doing this.

A car pulled up to the front entrance of the RK Foundation where we find young Adrian Smith and Junichiro Sachikawa stepped out of the black panel van that brought them from the airport. This is where they find Ousuke Atsuko awaiting them. When he saw they arrived safely he had a large bright smile on his face and said, “Ah Adri and Rusty! I take it your flights were uneventful and smooth?”
Before Adri could respond, the Ogremon she was traveling with said, “Yeah, pretty uneventful, though Raven complained a lot.”
“I agree with Ogremon. Mom can be a lot.” Adri responded.
“My flight was fine, short, but fine.” Rusty said.
“Wonderful! Now if you’ll follow me I can introduce you to the other two Junior Ops and the Junior Rangers.” Ousuke said, leading them into the building.
“This is a giant building.” Adri said in amazement.
“Yeah Adri, they typically are big in cities.” Ogremon teased her.
The group entered the elevator and went up to the 13th floor, where the Junior Ops and Junior Rangers are based. When they arrived, they found Nick and Jason fresh out of the training room, with Jay laughing, “Ha! You did so much better than Dan, I’m so rubbing this in Hall's face.”
Ousuke heard this, smiled briefly, and said, “Now, now Jason, the training is not a competition.”
“Yeah, yeah. Sorry man,” Jay said, then leaning down to Nick’s ear, “But you did do better.”
“Besides that Jason, these are your new Ops, so it’d be proper to introduce yourself.” Ousuke said, shifting the subject.
“Right. Hello kids, I’m Jay, your primary trainer unless you want a more info based mission then it’s the other Junior Ranger named Hallie’s job,” Jay said to the kids, then to Nick, “Alright bud, hit the showers, good job today.”
“Shouldn’t I introduce myself first?” Nick asked.
“Really, right off a training shesh? C’mon kid, you’re killing me. Go take a shower.” Jay responded.
Nick exited for the showers, his gaze lingering on Adrian. Jason noted this. Then Ousuke cleared his throat and said, “Kids introduce yourselves to Jason here.”
Rusty introduced himself first, “I’m Junichiro, but most people call me Rusty or Jun, and my partner is Dracomon.”
Then Adrian followed, “I’m Adrian, but you may call me Adri, I’m partnered with Ogremon.”
Ogremon then said, “Darn right you are!”
“Now that that is done, we can introduce you to the others, who are in the uh…” Ousuke paused and thought for a moment, “Jason, where are the others?”
“Oh, Dan and Hallie are in the lounge. I’m gonna wait out here and talk to Zubamon for a bit.” Jason said.
“Alright, well let's go kids.” Ousuke gestured for the two kids to follow him into the lounge, where they found Hallie looking over Dan’s shoulder into a computer screen. Ousuke cleared his throat and Dan jumped. “Hey!” He said loudly.
“Sorry, we just had new arrivals, they've already met the others so I need to introduce them to you.” Ousuke said, keeping up his usual upbeat poise.
“Ah,” Hallie said, "I'm Harriet, but you can call me Hallie.”
“Oh, we already knew that, the other guy mentioned you.” Adri said as politely as she could.
“Gosh darn it Jay.” Hallie whispered.
“I’m Daniel.” Dan said coldly.
“Well I’m Adrian, but you may call me Adri.” Adri said.
“Are you the one partnered with the Ogremon?” Dan asked.
“Yep!”
“Well you should tell him to shower more, he smells awful.” Dan said rudely in response, Adri gave him the stink eye.
“Daniel, they are your teammates, I do have to ask you to be nice.” Ousukle said.
“Well, anyway, I’m Junichiro, but you may call me Jun or Rusty.” Rusty said.
Right when they were getting acquainted, Nick walked in, his hair still a little wet from the shower, “Oh, hi.” Nick said to the others as he sat on the couch in the background.
“Hello Nick, we were just finishing the introductions from the newcomers,” Ousuke said as Jason walked into the room and stood next to Hallie, then he took out a parcel from his coat pocket, “Speaking of the newcomers, I did have your digivices ready for you.”
Adri took the digivice on the left, which then had a pixelated Ogremon on the screen with flashing text that read “PARTNER BONDED”, Rusty followed grabbing the right, bonding to his Dracomon. Once they were bonded an alarm blared in the background, signaling the attack of a digimon in the city. “Ah this is a perfect team mission, Hallie and Jason you may stay, but you four go to the vehicles in the garage level.” Ousuke said to his Junior Rangers and Junior Ops.
Once they arrived in the part of the city where the digimon, revealed to be a Wendigomon with darker skin and red eyes, was attacking, Ogremon quickly leapt into action, whacking the Wendigomon with his club. This angered Wendigomon immensely, and it took both of its massive hands and clapped them around Ogremon, that slam could’ve been enough to crush rocks, but thankfully Ogremon had a thick skull, so he was down but not out. Dorumon rushed in, launching small blasts from his mouth. They weren’t doing much, but they were bothering Wendigomon and that was enough for him. Wendigomon tried to swipe at Dorumon, but Ryudamon was using its explosions to create smoke fields that hid Dorumon, then Dracomon spun its whole body at high speeds, slamming his tail into Wendigomon.
The Wendigomon was furious, and that wasn’t going to get any better as Ogremon charged in, “Didn’t think you could get rid of me that easily huh?” He yelled, punching the Wendigomon in the mouth.
Wendigomon stumbled backwards, then spun at a high speed, knocking back Dorumon and Dracomon, however an iron blade flew in and hit it in the chest, causing it to stumble backwards. Then Dracomon and Dorumon charged in together, Dorumon with the force of a wild beast, but Dracomon stopped, his horns glowing firing a beam from its mouth at the same time that Dorumon charged into Wendigomon. Wendigomon stumbled weakly, not having much left in it, and Ogremon landed the final blow on it, punching it backwards into a wall, knocking it out. “Alright, good job baby digis.” He said, wiping sweat off of his brow.
“What tired already gramps?” Dorumon asked, laughing at him.
“Gramps?! I’m not much older than you!” He yelled back.
“Yeah, not much then 10,000 years older.” Dracomon said.
“Gods, kids these days.” Ogremon whispered.
We cut to the kids in this, where Dan begrudgingly said, “You guys didn’t do too bad today.”
Adri, not noticing the slight surprise in his voice said, “Thanks! You didn’t do bad yourself. Also Nick and Dan, your Dorumon and Ryudamon are smart, using the explosions to hide.”
“O-oh, thanks.” Nick said, a small blush on his face.
“Indeed, thank you Smith.” Dan said.
“Shouldn’t the credit go to our digimon?” Rusty asked.
“Well we trained them.” Adri said, being the first to enter one of the vehicles back to the RK Foundation, followed by Nick, Dan, Rusty, then the Digimon in that order.

It was a late night on the 12th floor of the RK Foundation where we find Jay. We find that Ousuke just walked into the room and asked, “Jason, a word?”
“Yeah, sure, what’s up man?” Jay asked, sitting on his bed.
“What do you think of this group of Ops?”
“I think they’re good kids. They’ll make fantastic Rangers when I get promoted.” He responded in his typical non serious manner.
“Yes, surely. I do have to mention that there are four more coming, two tomorrow and two the day after.”
“Eight kids? Thought you only dealt in threes.”
“That was the past Jason, we’re in a new age now.”
“Suppose we are.”
“This was pleasant, I’ll see you later Jason.”
“Yeah, see you later man.”
As Ousuke left the room, Hallie entered, she then watched Ousuke leave and said, “What was that about?”
“Just going to your definitely not adopted kid for a conversation.” Jason said, finally dropping the act he usually always has up.
“Heh, well at least he’s trying.”
“Do you know when Ann’s replacement is arriving?”
“Two days, why you excited to be a group of three again?” She teased.
“Sure, that’s a way to describe it.”
