Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!
Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale
Austenland by Shannon Hale
Death Comes to Pemberly by P.D. James
Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale
And last, but certainly not least,
I Could Pee on This and Other Poems by Cats by Francesco Marciuliano
I was tagged by the lovely iamsuperassbutt!!
OKAY HERE ARE THE RULES THAT AREN’T MEANT TO BE BROKEN:
1. Always post the rules.
2. Answer the questions for the person that tagged you and make 11 new ones.
3. Tag 11 people and link them to this post.
4. Let them know you tagged them.
MY QUESTIONS
1.What book can you read over and over again?
That's so hard! Probably Austenland because of the compelling story, plus the fact that it was so hard to put down the first time.
2.Favorite beverage?
Right now, it's chocolate milk, but hot chocolate in the winter.
3.What’s your favorite city in the world?
If it's one I haven't been to but have been longing to see, it'd be Paris. If it's one I've been to and would love to see again, it'd be Quebec.
4.Name one random fact about yourself.
Oh, gosh... I have two cats that I love dearly, but that's not really random. I do English Country Dancing, which is super fun!
5.What season do you prefer: Winter or Summer?
Winter, because I can always put more layers on. In Summer, there are only so many to take off.
6.Do you prefer sweatpants or pajama pants?
Sweatpants, definitely.
7.What’s your favorite cartoon?
I, uh, don't really know. Dexter's Laboratory, I suppose.
8. Have you ever been skiing?
No, but it looks dangerous and fun!
9.What’s your favorite accent to hear?
I love listening to Scottish accents, but all accents (except mine) are gorgeous!
10.What is primarily on your blog?
Right now it's Jane Austen and Period/Costume dramas. A little while ago was Phantom of the Opera, and before that was mostly cats.
11.How long do you usually spend on tumblr (if you ever get off)?
I never log out, but I try to spend no more than 5 or 6 hours browsing it a day.
Here are some questions for those I tag!
1. Favorite movie/miniseries adaptation of a book?
2. Favorite song/artist?
3. Current obsession?
4. What is the best place you've been and why?
5. Have you ever been in a competition? (Also tell me if you won anything.)
6. What's something utterly boring about you?
7. What's something utterly fascinating about you?
8. What was the best museum you've been to?
9. Favorite quote?
10. What's the thing that gets on your nerves the most?
11. What is your dream gift?

to her credit, her artwork is very cute, but she wrote "arigato!!!" (with that many exclamation points) on the thank you cards we had the kids all do for the school's custodial staff, and i think i cringed visibly when i saw it
