So, upon reaching my goal of 200+ and only being active on this account for about a month, I've come to realize that I actually have people that respect me. It's actually been really eyeopening, believe it or not. So, I want to give a shoutout to everyone that I interact with ooc and ic and tell them that they all mean the world to me. <3

It's hard when there's a time zone cock-blocking your relationship. Even harder when your girlfriend blows off your skype date. Sure, his girlfriend is amazing, and they swore to get through this whole "long distance" thing and come out stronger.

But, Brandon isn't really feeling like it's working out. So, he does what any sensible adult would do. He goes to the bar. That's where and when he sees a familiar (ish) face. Someone he hadn't seen since high school.

He walks up, trying to be as causal as possible in case he's wrong, "Courtney? Holy shit...been a while."

Her eyes are broken bottles and her hair is knotted at the nape of her neck. She's lovely when she's wild, she's lovely when she's calm. Brandon decided he was a poet in the moment his skin felt hers for the first time - because god her mouth, her body, incited such a spark inside him that was more than lust but less than love.

And even with all the bullshit that they dragged one another through - he found himself at her doorstep and her clothes on the floor and there was that spark again.

Now, it's been years -- years -- and he's still got that stupid grin and she's still got that smile that could cut him (and has, mind you, her mouth has wounded him and bled him dry and turned him to putty and put him back together again). 

And he's still here. Call him a masochist if you'd like. There's some romantic part of him that believes that Chance will sort her shit out and love him. Love them. The idea of "us".

For now, they just keep showing up at each other's door steps, broken, and not fully whole, until they've lost themselves on the tiles of the kitchen floor, or twisted sheets of the bedroom, and there's some semblance of 'I'm okay'  -- for a little while, anyways. The fights happen (they always happen) and it's a damn near deadly cycle.

But, that's the trick with cycles. They never really end.
