NUC Stops Courses In Rivers University. The National University Commissions (NUC), had listed the #RSUST as one of the institutions that should stop offering courses such as #law, #accountancy and #masscommunication, among others, stating that such institutions will only offer courses that reflect their name. The Committee recommends that the name of the #RiversStateUniversityofScienceandTechnology be changed to the #RiversStateUniversity in order to avoid the NUC’s policy from adversely affecting non-science and technology-based courses being run by the university.” This is as the #RiversStateHouseofAssembly is set to change the name of the famous Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), the pioneer state government-owned science and technology-based university.
