Music aside, I think it's a really interesting track because it questions my expectations about female-fronted electro-pop. Not all music is supposed to be honey to your ears, of course -- but there are certain styles where you automatically look for, or unconsciously try to identify certain sounds, atmospheres and patterns. RW Grace has taken that notion and flipped it completely on its head, which usually only happens when a track starts to really veer into "experimental" territory.

- This was one of those lucky random Soundcloud finds. It popped up as a result of me leaving the Soundcloud app running in the background after another track had finished. It’s a synth heavy indie tune with an almost haunting feel to it.

Perth singer RW Grace has returned with a stunning new track and two new letters next to her name. This is actually her third name change, before reinventing herself as an electronic artist, the then-acoustic folk singer was known by her full name, Grace Woodroofe. "Shell" follows on from last year's single "Pluto," an almost overwhelmingly eerie, yet gorgeous release. Seductive and dark, Grace's voice is absolutely stunning, almost channeling an early '90s PJ Harvey at its deepest points.
