What do you think of Rivmoon?
Oh hightide, i should really like it given how much i like iterator x slugcat and incest. But i don't.
The idea of moon being in an absolutely hopeless situation, ie being half lucid while she witness her brother be utterly consumed by his worse mistake. And then having a creature that she doesn't know risk life and limb just to make her existence just a little bit better. And then having that creature choose to stay with her and comfort her. Is really good foundation for a ship.
A story where at the start moon is just admiring rivulet for their bravery but that tuning into love for them as moon gets to know them. Sounds really fucking good.
But i just cant get behind the ship for some reason and i don't even know what that reason is. My brain doesn't latch on to it like it did for poprocks. And its frustrating for little old me because its a good ship, i like the idea of it, and you can get a lot out of it. I just can't make it work in my brain.
