I think once everyone is on campus I’m gonna sit down and actually talk to this kid about his opinions
like, I don’t think I can let this person be my de facto boss unless I can set him straight about this shit. either he doesn’t get what trigger warnings are (likely, since the general consensus on campus seems to be that they are for controversial politics/potentially offensive topics rather than things that could make someone really upset or even give them a panic attack, or he is throwing trauma survivors under the bus bc he. . .hates the idea that people are Less Stoic than he is? or he just can’t imagine what it is like to have the kind of life experience that means hearing about/seeing rape or abuse or homophobia isn’t something you can just brush off nonchalantly? I don’t fucking know
anyway if I tell him to his face what I have gone through and why I think trigger warnings are important and he doesn’t change his mind even a little, I might just fuckin’ quit the daily for the semester
