Once again got the Culdee Fell on my mind, what a beautiful book Mountain Engines is!

trying out designs for culdee and catherine

randomly started thinking abt culdee and catherine… culdee is so good and gentlemanly to her i ADORE them. he knows he depends on her to know what’s up ahead and he’ll make sure that anyone who disrespects coaches in general knows what’s up.

planning livery colors. i don’t want to give everyone their own hue, but i did want to have multiple hues.

I wanted to contrast the hues for Godred/Patrick to Culdee based off of magazine illustrations in which the former two are seen in cooler hues than Culdee

Wilfred and Culdee have the same hue

After looking at an image of a purple-leaning-on-indigo!Enid, I want to give Ernest a cooler hue than Wilfred

I initially wanted to make Shane Dooiney green. I favored sticking to purple for everyone though so I want to go for a muted purple. I ended up deciding that he should share the same hue with Ernest

I want Patrick to stand out, based off a magazine image with a warmer-hued Culdee. He’ll probably end up being indigo.

I want Alaric and Eric to match, being the ‘new’ engines (and apart from their outstanding third, Patrick), regardless. Not sure what color exactly atm (perhaps they’ll turn out warmer than I have planned)
