Tandor was somewhere Cam was finding herself more and more. Radiation abound meant deaths and deaths meant spirits and ghost-types that needed to be put in check. It also meant she was walking into places she shouldn’t have been, if she hadn’t had clearance. Thankfully the Oblivion provided some sort of protection to radiation, despite also being able to feel it.
The energy hits her mask, prompting a small flinch. This place was now ruins but was still rumored to have activity going down in it. This prompted the calling of The Archivist for the potential paranormal activity.
Unfortunately that wasn’t going to be what she found.
“Alright, lets make this easier on the lot of us.” Her voice is gentle and coaxing, in case she really was dealing with the dead. “You’ve been causing a clamor outside and it needs to be resolved so folks stop worrying. Why not come tell me what’s got you so active.”
It’s not uncommon for such small children to not have pokémon of their own-- most usually prefer to wait till a certain age to get their first one.
It might be a little weird that in Madotsuki’s case, both of her parents didn’t seem to have any pokémon of their own either. There’s no deep reasoning behind it, they just didn’t tread that lifestyle. And well, getting any now felt almost selfish, as the family currently wasn’t in the best of shape to take care of a pokémon.
Definitely does not mean she doesn’t know how to treat pokémon, however.
So when she notices a pokémon whose looks she’s never seen before, be it in person or schoolar books, approach her spot sitting underneath the shade of a tree so she could snack a little on some of the contents in her little lunchbox without being directly under the bright sun, she scoots off to the side so the critter could seek shelter underneath the shade as well.
Sure, some species of pokémon could be very territorial or dangerous, but more often than not they warn first, and if you don’t act hostile, then they don’t either. They also tend to be great judges of character.
“ Hello. ” The child greets softly, not really expecting the pokémon to answer back, at least not in a way that she could completely comprehend. “ Very sunny out today. The plants must be loving it. ”

“In the wilds of Ultra Space, failure cannot be afforded. I have taken this mindset into Alola. The ‘island challenge’ is far more difficult than anticipated, but I suppose it is because I still fail to fully understand the bonds between pokemon and humans. Seeing the intense aura of the ‘Totem’ pokemon, I believed I needed to initiate self defense measures to ensure safety. I soon learned why it is problematic to shoot a pokemon with the Xurkizapper.”

Dude, over the time I’ve been following you, you’ve only grown as a writer and it seriously shows. The way you portray both Josh and Hanekoma is remarkable and the takes you have on them are so full of life and reach to places that I see very few RPers take any kind of character. That takes balls, man and I’m just. I admire you so much and it’s been an honor getting to see you and your muses grow and develop all this time. I hope one day to be able to be on the skill level you’ve managed to achieve.
