"Why would they be. . .? "
This was just too strange, why would so many walkers be gathered in such a quiet area? Did something attract them here? Possibly, they could follow a sound for ages though they'd often drift off the track. . . for them to gather around here could mean one thing.
People.
Well, now he just had to get out to here before they noti--
SNAP--!
"Shit. " So much for being quiet.
Alfred felt a shiver run up his spine when he heard the sudden eruption of moans as few of the walkers turned toward where he was, obviously pleased by the sight of new prey-- He's seen this so many times and those things still gave him the creeps. He'd shoot them but he couldn't risk the noise attracting more, he turned his heel and legged it. Thank whatever was above that these things were slow.
He had ran quite some distance before he found some cover, a rather large oak that had been struck by a rather nasty looking wreckage that he could make out to be a truck, the dead drivers sprawled through the windscreen with blood sprayed across the bonnet. Their heads were caved in from the impact, they weren't coming back. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he checked behind him before he heaved himself over the old tree and slumped behind it--
Only to come face to face with another being, a live one.
". . . Hi. "
