It was funny how life worked sometimes, honestly the last thing Natasha figured she’d be doing was running the Assistant gig again, but here she was. Same name, everything. It helped get one’s foot in the door when you’ve worked for Tony Stark before. The trick was figuring out a reason why she left. None the less she’d had Stark put a good word in for her, as well as give donations to the Jurassic World’s cause. Though in Natasha’s personal opinion the idea of dinosaurs walking the earth again was not a good one. Still they were fascinating creatures, but given what had gone on she wasn’t sure she’d see any of them anyways.
Her assignment was Claire Dearing. Very much a work devoted woman, high achiever type. Natasha could understand that, level with it. She was known to be similar, but she had been forced to become that way growing up in the Red Room. Hers was entirely survival based, achieve or die. Be the best or be killed. Thus she supposed in a way she could also identify with the dinosaurs as well or any other wild creature. Though she wondered what made Claire be the way she was, what made the woman tick. Files only told so much, but meeting the person, well the spy was curious and eager.
All other applicants for Claire Dearing’s new assistant position, the few that there were after the recent events in Jurassic World had, had problems getting to the meeting, flight delays, sudden illness, nothing bad just enough of an issue to get them out of the way for Natasha or rather Natalie to be able to secure the job.
Dressed in a smart black suit, hair newly cut short and slicked back, Natalie Rushman was ready to live again even if she looked different now, but change was good and after all the publicity lately concerning the Avengers, SHIELD and so on it was best and cutting one’s hair was less problematic than dying it and wigs were often cumbersome. She waited in the room shown to her for the applicants and sat down on a chair, in her hands a file with all her information: Graduated from UC Berkley in business, got a job in the legal department of Stark Industries as a gopher basically for two years, then for a year was Tony Stark’s personal secretary, was no longer needed and was released with a fantastic severance pay then decided to travel the world, did a little back packing and find herself sort of thing. Now she wanted back in the real world. It was flawless and interesting enough.
Now she had to play the waiting game and be patient, something that wasn’t always her strong point unless a gun was perched in front of her, but given she was currently playing a role it came easier without the weaponry needed.
