I present to you: some Amita & Ryan headcanons.

Due to Amita's incredible poker face, nobody knows she has feelings for Ryan. It's unlikely they even expect it.

Ryan may have had a crush on Amita first (I mean she's a strong, capable, intelligent and beautiful woman) but Amita falls in love with Ryan first.

Both are trained in noticing little details, so they pretty much have a secret language between the two of them that's composed of primarily microexpressions and minute gestures.

Ryan draws portraits of Amita when she's angry (or stressed) and shows them to her to soften her up.

Amita gets frustrated by Ryan's pacifism and tends to push him on it. That said, she also deeply respects it and when trouble comes, she always puts herself in front of him.

Amita's favorite way to show Ryan affection is to give him scalp massages. She only does this in private though since she's very uncomfortable with PDA.

In public, Amita shows Ryan affection by putting her hand over his or brushing her hand against his.

Amita and Ryan do a jigsaw every morning over breakfast when they're not busy hunting for treasure.

Ryan won over Amita's parents within the first 10 minutes of meeting them.

Amita's initial hesitation that keeps her from Ryan is that she's tired of being paired off with other brown people just because they're both the same race.

Ryan taking care of Amita when she gets drunk at The Tourist Trap (it's likely not a regular occurrence, but when it does happen, he's already got a bottle of water and a burrito ready).

Amita teaching Ryan how to play pool.

Definite teasing about his camel phobia.

Long discussions into the night about anything and everything, from reminiscing about their school days to the accuracy of the animated classic Road To El Dorado.

He's the little spoon.

He likes french fries and Danish rémoulade. She thinks he's an absolute psychopath until she tries it. She doesn't admit it, but he finds her secretly eating it one day, and it went unspoken that every time they have fries now, it's with rémoulade.

He can't eat with chopsticks. Amita tries to teach him. Mack is chuckling in the corner, because neither of them really can, but it's still cute to watch.

Ryan is allergic to cats. He'll never tell Amita though, although every time he's at her apartment, he's barely breathing. When she asks what's wrong, he'll grin really cheesily, and say it's because she's taken his breath away. Her cat is just staring at him knowingly. They're mortal enemies.

I hope I got everything in character for Amita. I love her so much.
