RTB2 at Double Wide on August 15, 2014
RTB2 played the middle slot at the Double Wide and followed up a rocking opening set by Austin band Oddlot with a crotch-punching set of their own. Easily one of the most aggressive sets out of them in a while and a treat to see.
I did what I could to salvage a few photos after having a bunch of settings off for most of the night. It was darker than usual in the Double Wide, and I neglected to compensate adequately. Not my best work, but they can't all be gems.

The Sunday Hares shows at Dan's are practically legendary. The crowd (including me) is as involved as any I've ever seen despite, or perhaps because of, abuse from the band's de facto frontman, George Neal. In fact, only Austin crowds at Quiet Company shows or Fort Worth crowds at Telegraph Canyon shows come to mind.
The interplay between the band members is epic as well. It's always a joy and a surprise. This week was especially interesting with the band doing a dress rehearsal of their upcoming Pogues cover show at Twilite Lounge this week. Though not as frequent as before, these shows are not to be missed.
