Was it worth it, Sage?

I did a thing, and I regret nothing.

Arianna and Sage are probably my two favorite characters from Castoff. I drew most of this in Star’s recent signing stream, but waited a little bit to post since I already posted that day lol. I enjoyed getting to experiment with different techniques in this drawing and went WAAAY out of my comfort zone, but it was fun!!

Tbh, I haven’t done a drawing this intense in a long time and it felt good to finish! These are characters from Castoff, a webcomic made by @thestarfishface ! Go check it out, the story is absolutely amazing and the art in the comics is gorgeous!

The shattering glass layout was inspired by many of the shattered glass memory flashbacks in castoff, glass specks pen by theStarFishFace.

Hey everyone! I’m Danae (or Rycila for those who know me by my pen name) First things first, welcome to my page! I hope you stick around for a few moments :D

- I would like to make it very clear, Broken Halo has not been released yet! Think of this as the concept/teasers channel for the story. It is going through its last round of edits from my editors/beta readers and I will begin illustrating it soon. (Hopefully this July/August)

- I am the only artist for the story, so please be patient! This is my passion project and it will be a webcomic while it’s in progress (and hopefully printed one day too!)

- Feel free to ask any questions, I don’t bite :3 the only think I ask is please don’t ask me about the stories details (spoilers) I won’t answer, you’ll just have to read it when pages are released.

A stolen crown on the day of his coronation thrusts the prince into a life threatening search for his crown and its thief. Raden, foretold to be the savior of his people, now battles to stay alive in a land overcome by an ancient curse, the same curse he’s destined to destroy. But the curse hides more than monsters and beasts as he struggles to accept the unburied secrets that have kept his family in power for ages. Will he be lost and taken by the forest or can he make it back with his stolen crown, his Broken Halo?

Anything to see you again

I apologize to those who already liked/reblogged this (TYSM btw!) a part of this drawing wasn’t setting right with me and I had to fix it 😅 (scratching the itch I guess you could say!) but it’s fixed now!

“I’ll just spend an hour or so on this and then get something to eat” . . . 6 hours later

Regardless, I had a lot of fun working on this art piece, I struggled with it a little but eventually found the right angle to take for this with quite a bit of experimenting. Arianna will always be one of my favorites characters from Castoff ( @castoff-comic comic by theStarFishFace ) the webcomic is absolutely amazing! Ya’ll should go read it!

I am patiently waiting (but desperately dying) to know who her brother is and what exactly happened to him, but I felt really inspired to do this drawing after the recent pages for Chapter 13. I kinda got emotional just sketching this out ngl

Despite how much I love KotLC, it suddenly occurred to me I hadn’t done much fanart; I decided to change that. So I drew these two lol. I just love them, sokeefe all the way.

It took me a little longer than I expected to actually sit down and finish redrawing this, but you all gave the old drawing 50+ notes (which is crazy, thank you all so so much!!)

So here it is! The Queen Scarlet redraw! At almost two years apart between the original drawing, and this one. Queen Scarlet is probably my most favorite wings of Fire villain!
