Feel free to ignore the other ask I sent you because its more important I know other than Spiderman references how you... 10: Upside-Down Kiss
“You’re doing great, just a little bit more!” Maya said, raising her tone over the sounds of a persistent breeze blowing into her face. She had to hold the hood down so the wind coming from the sea wouldn’t pull it off and scatter her hair about her face. Even under the smell of salt and sea water she could feel his scent in the fabric. He was wearing it just an hour ago, while they walked to the beach, then stripped out of it and left it with her for safe keeping. 6 am at the shoreline was chilly and she ended up putting it on, the piece of clothing huge on her but comfortably warm with the residue of his insane body heat.
There were a couple of outdoor workout gear places along the beach, now mostly deserted at this hour except for the occasional jogger stopping by to stretch. Since they moved in together - or rather, since Ryden ended up sleeping over at her place much more often than at Rein’s - she sometimes went out on his workouts with him, as moral support. Chad, a personal trainer at Weight For It and a werewolf himself had given Ryden a pretty rigorous training plan. The young wolf was gaining muscle left and right against his will and all laws of nature and human biology so it was necessary to keep him in shape. Besides, Ryden was so bothered by his growing mass that he pretty much stuck to it to the letter and it helped. Didn’t make him lose muscles or weight but it helped defining his growing form and kept things from getting out of hand.
“Just ten more and you’ll hit the two hundred mark.” She encouraged, looking at the phone in her hand and the numbers running on the stopwatch app. “Ten, Nine, eight… Good! Seven, six, five, you can do it! Three, two, yay one!” She pressed the button on the screen, stepping up to let Ryden take a look. She had to crouch and turn the cell upside down, showing the screen to the wolf hanging on the pull up bar.
“Oh, shit, awesome!” He breathed as he took a look at the screen, face red from effort and the blood rushing to his head. Sweat was practically dripping off him and onto the sand below.
“Now all you got left is another lap around the beach, a couple more series of squats and push ups and we’re done!” She made it sound easy but this was a workout no ordinary human would be able to complete. But a wolf was no ordinary human. Nothing less than a professional athlete’s workout plan would do.
Ryden groaned, swaying lightly on the bar, strong legs hooked over it keeping him from falling head first into the sand. Maya was impressed - two hundred upside down pull ups in just a little over… four minutes. And this was him being a baby about it, sleepy and cranky because they clocked out late last night.
“Dun wanna…” He whined, letting his body swing slowly, limp and giving up out of protest.
“But you were doing so great so far.” She grinned at him, pocketing his phone and resting the fold of her arms over her bent knees. She watched him pout before reaching out and stopping his sway.
“Okay, how about this… I give you something nice every time you do good?”
“Yeah?” His flushed face brightened and she kept her hands on either side of his face.
“Yeah.” She leaned in, placing a soft kiss against his lips. It felt awkward to have her nose against his chin like this, the short stubble he let grow tickling it. But the awkwardness was forgotten as his tongue found its way into her mouth. She broke the kiss with a laugh, dropping back onto the sand to avoid him stretching out in pursuit for more.
“YEAH! HNNG! WHOOO!” He whooped with a renewed adrenaline rush, voice echoing on the empty beach, backflipping off the bar and easily landing on his feet. Maya shook her head as she stood up, dusting sand off her rump. He was such a Teen Wolf wannabe…
“Let’s go, let’s, go, let’s go~” He sprinted off energetically, ready to tackle that final lap. She tried to keep up with a laugh, calling out to him to wait for her.
